OpenLiti does not claim ownership of the original content you upload or submit.

By submitting content to OpenLiti, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to process, store, transform, and display that content as required to provide the Services.

For example, OpenLiti may process text from a file you provide in order to generate flashcards and other study materials for you.

3. Copyrighted Materials

Copyright protection may apply to books, articles, academic materials, presentations, images, educational resources, publications, and many other types of content.

The availability of material online does not necessarily mean that it is free to copy, upload, distribute, or otherwise use.

Before submitting copyrighted material to OpenLiti, you are responsible for determining whether your use is authorized by the copyright owner or otherwise permitted under applicable law.

4. Personal and Educational Use

OpenLiti is designed primarily to help users create and study learning materials.

Educational or personal use does not automatically make every use of copyrighted material lawful.

Copyright exceptions and limitations vary between countries and may depend on factors such as the nature of the material, the amount used, the purpose of the use, and its effect on the copyright owner’s rights.

Users are responsible for determining whether their use of particular material is legally permitted.

5. Flashcards and Generated Study Materials

OpenLiti may transform content submitted by users into flashcards, questions, answers, summaries, or other study materials.

The creation of study materials through OpenLiti does not transfer ownership of the underlying source material or eliminate any copyright that may apply to it.

You are responsible for how you use, reproduce, share, publish, or distribute flashcards or other study materials created from copyrighted source material.

6. Prohibited Copyright Infringement

You may not use OpenLiti to knowingly:

• Upload or distribute copyrighted material without authorization or another lawful basis.
• Reproduce or distribute books, courses, articles, study materials, or other protected works in violation of applicable copyright law.
• Remove or alter copyright notices or rights-management information for an unlawful purpose.
• Use OpenLiti to facilitate systematic copyright infringement.
• Share generated study materials when doing so would unlawfully reproduce or distribute protected content.
• Repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

We may remove or restrict access to content that we reasonably believe violates copyright or other intellectual property rights.

7. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of one and believe that content available through OpenLiti infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright infringement notice to us.

Your notice should include:

• Your full name and contact information.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
• Identification or location of the content on OpenLiti that you believe is infringing.
• A description of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Please provide enough information for us to identify and evaluate the reported content.

8. Review and Removal of Reported Content

When we receive a sufficiently detailed copyright complaint, we may review the reported content and take appropriate action.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

• Requesting additional information.

• Removing the reported content.
• Notifying the affected user.

OpenLiti may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights.

Knowingly submitting false, fraudulent, or materially misleading copyright claims may result in legal consequences under applicable law.
